In May 2009, R Swain & Sons Ltd acquired the business of Charles Hewitt Limited which merged over 30 years of hiab and forklift experience with Swain’s extensive special loads expertise. The further acquisition of H&M Plant's operations brought a wide range of plant moving capability to Swain’s portfolio of specialised equipment.
